RASco Engineering Awarded $10.0 Million Department of Veterans Affairs Contract
Department of Veterans Affairs selects RASco Engineering as one of three Awardees of a Five (5) Year Multiple Award IDIQ Contract for Multi-Discipline Architect-Engineer (A/E) Services (Civil Engineering) for miscellaneous projects at the following VA Medical Centers, including VA Maryland Healthcare System Medical Centers (Baltimore, Loch Raven, & Perry Point) and VA Medical Center, Washington, DC.
WOODBRIDGE, VA. — April 4, 2014 — RASco Engineering A Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, located in Woodbridge, Virginia, a multi-disciplinary turn-key engineering services firm, today announced that the United States Department of Veterans Affairs selects RASco Engineering as one of three Awardees of a Five (5) Year Multiple Award IDIQ Contract for Multi-Discipline Architect-Engineer (A/E) Services (Civil Engineering) for miscellaneous projects at the following VA Medical Centers, including VA Maryland Healthcare System Medical Centers (Baltimore, Loch Raven, & Perry Point) and VA Medical Center, Washington, DC.
The contract, an Indefinite quantity contract Multi-Discipline Architect-Engineer (A/E) Services (Civil Engineering) for miscellaneous projects at the following VA Medical Centers, including VA Maryland Healthcare System Medical Centers (Baltimore, Loch Raven, & Perry Point) and VA Medical Center, Washington, DC. This open-end Statement of Work (SOW) includes all of these services:
Studies will include investigating various alternatives for a project, analyzing the pros and cons of each alternative and writing a report of findings/recommendations to include a cost estimates.
Schematics/Design Development will include, but not be limited to, site surveying, researching, testing, defining the work, and presenting information required for project design. RASco will provide preliminary evaluations of project scope, schematic drawings, schedule, and construction budget. Alternative approaches to design and construction are to be investigated during this phase. Design Development documents include drawings and other documents that fix and describe the dimensions and character of the project. Architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems and other elements are included, as appropriate. A current construction cost estimate, broken down into the current CSI specification sections is also required.
Contract Drawings and Specifications will include, design narratives, design analyses, and production of plans, specifications, a detailed cost estimate.
Construction Period Services may include review of Contractor submittals, answering contractor’s Requests For Information (RFI’s), conducting site visits, partial and final inspections, and preparation of as-built drawings.
