Prince William Chamber to Honor Local Heroes at Valor Awards

Opportunities Remain to Sponsor Winners and Send Congratulatory Notes
Now in its 27th year, the Prince William Valor Awards honors the men and women in public service who protect the people, homes and businesses of the greater Prince William area. This year’s ceremony takes place on April 24, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Heritage Hunt Golf & Country Club. The awards are a program of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce. Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center returns as the main event sponsor. NBC4 anchorman Jim Vance will narrate the tales of bravery.
“The Prince William Chamber takes great pride in recognizing those who perform extraordinary acts of self sacrifice and bravery in the line of duty. As leaders in the business community, we take this moment to pause and honor those who risk so much to protect our lives, our livelihoods and our quality of life,” said Chamber President & CEO Rob Clapper.
The luncheon program is an opportunity for the citizens and businesses of the Prince William region to come together in showing support and appreciation for the community’s public safety professionals. During the ceremony, Valor Awards will be given to police, fire and rescue workers who have gone above the call of duty in protecting Prince William County and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park. A memorial tribute for PWC Police Officer Chris Yung, who died in the line of duty , is also planned.
While the event is sold-out, there are still opportunities to sponsor the attendance of award winners and to purchase “congratulatory notes” in the commemorative program that will be given to more than 330 attendees.
