Prince William Chamber “More for Your Money” Offers Insight on Building Mutually-Beneficial Community Partnerships

Prince William, VA – The Prince William Chamber of Commerce is hosting a brand new event called “More For Your Money” on Friday, June 14th, at Harvest Life Changers Church. This event is geared toward businesses and non-profits who are interested in building mutually-beneficial community partnerships and win-win sponsorships. Gail Bower, a sponsorship expert for over 20 years, will go over how to get maximum exposure for your investment, how to stand out in a media saturated marketplace, how to create and tailor strategic sponsorships that benefit your business and much more. To date “More For Your Money” is sponsored by Transurban, Access National Bank and Prince William Today. Additional sponsorship opportunities remain.
Both large and small businesses are aware of the many benefits of giving back to their communities. Program and event sponsorships provide excellent vehicles for companies to enhance their reputations and engage new customers. Securing potential sponsors can be a challenge for nonprofits and it is important that they know what corporations are searching for and how exactly both sides will benefit. “More For Your Money” will explore the fundamental questions businesses should be asking before buying a sponsorship.
During a recent Bower workshop through the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, attendees raved about the information and their past experiences with Gail saying, “I can unequivocally recommend Gail to assist any organization that would like to build or develop a sponsorship program.”
“I am constantly surprised at the freshness of the ideas that come from Bower & Co’s problem-solving abilities. There’s no doubt I’ll succeed,” said another, a representative from a Philadelphia-area  conservation agency.
After attending a Bower Workshop held by the Washington Business Journal in 2012, members of the Prince William Chamber staff were so impressed, they felt compelled to bring the experience to their members.
Says Chamber Event Director Andrea Whaley, “The information shared was incredibly eye-opening. I have never been to a workshop where I walked away having had so many AHA! moments. Truly, just the stories you will hear of other businesses who have taken this philosophy and put it into practice; that’s enough to get your brain going. As much as possible, we now integrate these ideas into our sponsorship packages. We are really looking forward to facilitating this conversation between businesses and non-profits.”
Tickets for this event will be $65 per person. Business people who are members of non-profit boards can bring a staff member for a total of two tickets for just $100. Lunch, Presentation, and Gail Bower’s best selling book “How to Jumpstart your Sponsorship Strategy in Tough Times” will all be included. Registration and event details are available at www.pwchamber.org.
Several sponsorships are still available for this event. Those interested in becoming a sponsor for “More For Your Money” should contact Kris Johnson at 571-765-1881 or email her at kjohnson@pwchamber.org.
