Make it @ Your Library: Funny Pages – Cartoon and Comics

Join us at Chinn Park Regional Library on Thursday, August 7th at 7:00 p.m. for a hands-on workshop, The Funny Pages: Cartoons and Comics, which will show middle and high school students how to create funny characters, mini comics and comic strips using pencils, erasers, ink pens, and animation. John Gallagher, a professional cartoonist and the creator of the graphic novels Buzzboy, Roboy, and others will provide a humorous and interactive look into the world of comics and animation, from the classics to manga, and how to use storytelling to bring images to life.  Participants are encouraged to bring any drawings or comics, illustrations for one-on-one feedback at the end of the workshop. This is a free, drop-in program for middle and high school students. Space is limited to the first 30 students. This program is generously funded by Friends of Chinn Park Regional Library.
