Grand Opening of Early Literacy Area

Come and help us officially open the new Early Literacy Center at Central Community Library! There are concept books, manipulatives, and toys to spark the imagination. There’s also a mural designed and created by local artist Linda Porterfield. Come and look and try to pick out story book characters, historic Manassas landmarks, or just get inspired to make up your own stories about what is happening in the mural. The furniture and manipulatives were donated by The Friends of the Library. The area is designed for parents and their children to enjoy together to help develop the early literacy techniques so vital to getting ready to read.
Everyone is invited to join us on Thursday, October 30th at 10:30 a.m. for the grand opening ceremony and some light refreshments.
