Sean Crean
Séan Crean, the Navy’s Director of the Office of Small Business Programs, is a keynote speaker at GovCon Day.

Given the uncertainty in regards to the federal budget, contractors such as Robyn Snyder, Supplier Diversity Program Manager for Lockheed Martin-MST Undersea Systems say they welcome the return of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce’s Government Contracting Industry Day conference.  It takes place Friday, March 8, 1:00 to 7:00 pm at Continental Event Center, 9705 Liberia Avenue in Manassas.“Partnerships are like a marriage and in order to be married you have to have a relationship.  Industry Day is the venue for building relationships that will lead to new business opportunities,” said Snyder, who is also the chairman of the Prince William Chamber Government Contractors Committee.
Snyder added, “This year we have two key note speakers that will provide the insight you need for moving your company in the right direction during these budget constrained times.  Dr. Stephen Fuller from George Mason University will provide the statistical insight to what lies ahead and Rear Admiral (ret.) Séan Crean, Director of the Office of Small Business Programs, Department of the Navy will provide a forecast for Navy directives.”
Attendees will have opportunities to meet directly with representatives from the Department of Defense and other agencies as well as industry leaders and smaller firms in the contracting field. The event also features workshops, exhibits and a networking reception.
“Industry Day is a resource for contractors in Northern Virginia. Particularly in the shadow of sequestration, this conference provides a path to adapting your business model, providing an edge in a very competitive and evolving market,” said Chamber President & CEO Rob Clapper.
