"Christmas Joys"

New Dominion Choraliers of Prince William County to Sing of “Christmas Joys” This Holiday Season
The New Dominion Choraliers of Prince William County invite you to a Holiday celebration of “Christmas Joys” at Forest Park High School, 15721 Forest Park Drive, in Woodbridge, on Saturday, December 7, at 7:30 P.M., and on Sunday, December 8, at 4:30 P.M. The Choraliers hope to share some beautiful music that will fill your hearts with the spirit and joys of the Holiday Season, and delight every member of the family. Because this year is the 100th anniversary of the birth of renowned British composer, Benjamin Britten, the centerpiece of the concert will be his collection of lyrical melodies, called ‘A Ceremony of Carols’.” Songs like ‘Midnight Lullaby’ and ‘How Great Our Joy’ will remind you of the spiritual bond that people everywhere share, however they celebrate the season. The lovely melody, ‘Light a Candle’, will illuminate everyone’s hopes and dreams for peace throughout the world. The concert will also include some traditional Carols, such as a joyous rendition of ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’, as well as favorite songs about winter Holiday fun, like ‘Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer’. And what are the Holidays without the joys of FOOD?! The Choraliers will present a musical recipe for the tastiest ‘Fruitcake’ you’ve ever known, along with lots of ‘Hot Chocolate’ from The Polar Express! The Dance Etc. School of the Arts will again illustrate some of the music with dance. This year, NDC will commemorate the passing of 11-year old Trevor Blake from a rare form of cancer, dedicating to him the beautiful carol “The Little Drummer Boy”. NDC will continue to support Trevor’s mission to bring toys to other children with cancer, by collecting unwrapped toys and donations for ‘Trevor’s Treasures” in the lobby at the concerts. Concert tickets are available at the box office, or online through www.newdominionchoraliers.org, and www.mycommunitytickets.net/common/eventDetail.aspx?id=25133 or 25134. Tickets for Adults cost $15, for Seniors/Students (age 14 and up)/Active-Duty Military/and Veterans, $10, and for Children ages 5 through 13, $5. Children 4 and younger are free.
