Chinn Park Regional Library, presents a story time program, Beginning with Books, for babies ages 12 to 24 months and their caregivers on Mondays, September 22 and 29 at 10:30 a.m. These programs will include stories, songs, and fingerplays chosen specifically for babies. Studies show that the best way to prepare for a child’s early literacy development is to read to a child and these story hours are designed to support the pre-reading skills every child needs to become a good reader. As an added plus, this program will provide coaching so that caregivers become more skillful and confident in reading aloud. When an adult reads to a child, both are enriched.  Space is limited. Register in person or by phone beginning one week in advance of each program at the Information Desk of the Chinn Park Regional Library.
