Songwriting Award For The Fringe Benefits

Jan 21, 2018- The Songwriting Association of Washington presented Bruce Moore and Julianna Smith with an award in the Pop music category for the title track on their bands latest album “Step Out”. The honorable mention award was presented at the organizations sold out ceremony held at Jammin Java in Vienna Va as part of their Mid Atlantic Song Contest.
The Fringe Benefits Band has been a chamber member since they began. The band will celebrate their 4 year anniversary at the Electric Palm on March 3. Their resume includes playing the VIP lounge at Jiffy Lube prior to Aerosmith, World Police & Fire Games and attracting large crowds at the area’s largest bar venues. In May 2017 the single from their first album “You’re On My Time Now!”, went to #1 on the Radio Indie Alliance chart and can be heard on most Touchtune jukeboxes nationwide. All of the bands recordings are on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon and tracks from the new album have been aired on dozens of stations worldwide.
The band is involved in the community, cooking for the homeless at SERVE and organizing fundraisers for local charities. Currently the band has organized a raffle to benefit Comfort Cases. The winner receives limousine service, VIP seating and dinner for 8 for the bands St. Patricks Day show at Uptown Alley Manassas.
