2025 Prince William Chamber Valor Awards Nominations

2025 Prince William Chamber Valor Awards Nominations

The Valor Awards are intended to honor the heroism of first responders who Go Above and Beyond the Call of Duty. We ask that only the best and brightest are nominated for the awards. The awards will be made for acts that occurred during the 2024 calendar year.

The selection of award recipients will be completed by the Valor Awards Selection Committee which consists of representatives of the departments that submit nominations as well as members of the business community and Chamber leadership.

OVERALL CRITERIA
Please read this section carefully before submitting any nominations.

1. Nominations must be received from the Captain or Chief of the department.
2. Both paid and volunteer first responders are eligible for the awards.
3. Not all nominees will be recognized during the Valor Awards, only those who fully meet the criteria and are selected for an award by the Selection Committee.
4. Nominees will be recognized for going beyond their training or acting heroically under extreme pressure. Areas that may not qualify for recognition include the use of CPR, a tourniquet, or other regularly trained for tasks performed in relatively controlled environments/conditions.
5. Nominations that lack sufficient information may be eliminated from consideration as seen fit by the Selection Committee.
6. For situations involving teams or units, consider selecting a single or handful of individuals who stood out beyond the rest and deserve special recognition. Any group/unit recognized will receive an award for the group as a whole, but each member will be recognized individually during the ceremony.
7. If nominating individuals from a different department, you must include their department contact information. Nominations without contact information will not be accepted.
8. The awards will be given for actions that occurred between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024.

NOMINATIONS DUE FEBRUARY 19, 2025.
