Prince William Chamber Business Awards, Featuring Alex Orfinger as MC
Winners to be Announced Wednesday, May 15
Prince William, Virginia – The Prince William Chamber has announced the nominees for the 2013 Prince William Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. An evening reception and dinner will be held Wednesday, May 15 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas to announce the winners and honor all nominees. The nomination list includes businesses large and small from a variety of industries, showcasing the diverse organizations that blend to make Prince William one of the top region’s for job creation and economic growth in the nation. Northern Virginia Community College is the Corporate Sponsor of the event. Winners of the 2013 Agnes L. Colgan Community Service Awards, sponsored by Cardinal Bank, will also be announced. Washington Business Journal Publisher Alex Orfinger will serve as master of ceremonies.
From the over 70 nominations submitted, winners will be selected in nine different categories. Each winner is chosen based on a combination of factors including industry achievements, community involvement and their ability to meet eligibility requirements. The Agnes L. Colgan Community Service Awards are given in two categories: Arts & Education and Health & Human Services. Awards are given to non-profit organizations that are making a significant impact on the communities of Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park. Each award is accompanied by a check for $1,000 to help the recipient continue the work they are doing to improve the local quality of life.
“This year’s nominees have successful track records of creating jobs and working to positively impact the community in which they do business. They make significant contributions to the high quality of life we enjoy in our community through direct support of cultural arts, education and quality of life initiatives in Prince William County, Manassas and ManassasPark,” said Rob Clapper, President and CEO of the Chamber. “We are proud to honor and celebrate these business and community leaders who truly represent the best of Prince William.”
The cost for members to attend the Prince William Chamber Business Awards Dinner is $70 for members; $85 for non-members. Ticket pricing includes a reception, dinner, beverage ticket and admission to the awards ceremony.
