Wizard of Oz’s Emerald City Recycles with American Disposal Services
American Disposal’s Recycling Program, ThinkBeforeYouThrow® Featured in the Pied Piper Theatre’s presentation of the Wizard of Oz.
MANASSAS, VA, January 21, 2014 – Manassas based recycling and waste company, American Disposal Services, is proud to be featured in the Wizard of Oz; presented bythe The Center for the Arts’ Pied Piper Theatre on January 25th and 26th at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.
The concept of ‘Going Green’ is taken to the next level through the creative way director Vincent Worthington implements American’s recycling program in his interpretation of the very ‘Green’ Emerald City.
American is honored to be featured in the production which features an important and prevalent message on recycling, while making it fun. It is a testament to American Disposal’s ongoing presence and outreach in the community.
Andrea Oswald, Staff Accountant for American Disposal, works with The Center for the Arts, and is the costumer for this production.
“We love getting people excited about recycling, and the timing couldn’t be better since our recycling facility (the American Recycling Center) will be open soon.” Oswald said. “American Disposal prides ourselves on our community involvement and this production is really great for everyone since it gets the whole family excited about going green in such a fun, whimsical way.”
Performances will be Saturday, January 25 at 2pm and 7pm and Sunday, January 26 at 4pm at The Hylton Performing Arts Center, 10960 George Mason Circle, Manassas, VA 20109.
