Bull Run Book Talkers

Bull Run BookTalkers will discuss “A Tale for the Time Being” by Ruth Ozeki on Tuesday, November 18th at 7:00 p.m. Ruth, a novelist living on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest, discovers a collection of artifacts washed ashore in a Hello Kitty lunchbox, possibly debris from the devastating 2011 tsunami. It includes the diary of a lonely and bullied 16-year-old Tokyo girl and the story of her great-grandmother, a Buddhist nun. As the mystery of the contents unfolds, Ruth is pulled into the past, into the young girl’s drama, her unknown fate and forward into her own future.  No registration required.
