Chinn Park Regional Library, presents a story time program, Beginning with Books, for babies ages 12 to 36 months and their caregivers on Mondays, October 20 and 27 at 10:30 a.m. These programs will include stories, songs, and fingerplays chosen specifically for babies. Studies show that the best way to prepare for a child’s early literacy development is to read to a child and these story hours are designed to support the pre-reading skills every child needs to become a good reader. As an added plus, this program will provide coaching so that caregivers become more skillful and confident in reading aloud. When an adult reads to a child, both are enriched.
Space is limited, no siblings please. Register in person or by phone beginning one week in advance of each program at the Information Desk of the Chinn Park Regional Library.
