Album Release Party Oct 7- Song For Manassas

The Fringe Benefits Band has an Album Release Party Oct 7, 9pm at Uptown Alley, Manassas. The new album follows the success of the band’s first original song “You’re On My Time Now!” (#1 on the Radio Indie Alliance chart). One song on the new album is offered for consideration as an official song of the city.Fringe Benefits Band
The song, “Sign Of Love” refers to the LOVE sign in Historic Downtown Manassas. It was inspired by the charitable giving of various local businesses and organizations. As a member of Manassas Rotary and a member of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce board, songwriter Bruce Moore has seen this first hand. His song about brotherly love is a timely reminder about what Manassas and Virginia stand for today, in contrast to the recent criticism of confederate history.
The album also includes covers of popular songs from the band’s shows as well as other originals. The new album’s title song “Step Out” was a songwriting collaboration between guitar synth player Bruce Moore and lead vocalist Julianna Smith. Bruce says,” We are thankful and surprised at the radio airplay success we’ve had with “You’re On My Time Now!”. Based on the reception we are having in our live shows, our new song “Step Out” may be even more successful.”
The Fringe Benefits band is a favorite at Uptown Alley located in the Manassas Mall. The 11 million dollar, 45,000 sq. ft. venue has an arena for live music along with 3 bars and a scratch based menu. The band plays pop songs from 80’s, 90’s, and today as well as motown- great music for dancing. Highly visible past performances of the band include the VIP lounge at Jiffy Lube Live prior to Aerosmith, The World Police & Fire Games, and Horseshoe Casino. The band’s previous release “You’re On My Time Now!” can be heard on TouchTunes jukeboxes in most bars nationwide. Both albums can be downloaded from iTunes, Amazon and other popular services.
