Prince William Public Libraries’ Summer Reading program is once again receiving generous support from the local business community. This year, 24 individual donors, entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, franchise owners, regional companies, and national corporations have helped inspire people of all ages to read for pleasure.
Sixteen of these sponsors are members of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce, and we extend our sincere gratitude for their continued commitment to education, literacy, and community engagement. Special thanks go to Amazon, the program’s Naming Sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, and to Bricks & Minifigs Woodbridge for donating a gift card for a free LEGO® Minifigure to every Summer Reading finisher while supplies last.
The Chamber and its members have long been valued partners in advancing PWPL’s mission. Their support helps us foster a love of reading, encourage lifelong learning, and cultivate meaningful community connections throughout Prince William County and the City of Manassas.
PWPL relies on grants and donations to sustain large-scale programs such as Summer Reading. Sponsorships save taxpayer resources while giving businesses a way to invest in educational enrichment and community well-being. This support allows PWPL to offer engaging activities that make reading enjoyable, provide free books for readers to keep, and expand promotion and outreach to engage more readers. In return, sponsors receive recognition and brand exposure throughout the region. To view the complete list of Summer Reading sponsors, visit pwcva.gov/summerreading or stop by your local library before the program ends on Sunday, August 16.
We invite you to join us in reading and exploring this year’s theme, “Unearth a Story.” Uncover hidden worlds with us, explore the past, and discover something new with every page. From dinosaurs to gardening and everything in between, PWPL is offering more than 350 free programs that bring the theme to life, sparking curiosity and creativity for all ages.
Summer Reading is open to everyone. Register at any PWPL library, at pwcva.gov/library, or on the Beanstack Tracker app. Once you’ve logged 500 minutes of reading—just 20 minutes a day for 25 days—visit the library to choose a free book to keep. Yes, adults included! Track your progress using a paper tracker available at the library, or log your minutes digitally in the Beanstack app.
Whether you’re in it for the reading challenge or want to enjoy programs with a prehistoric and nature-inspired twist, visit pwcva.gov/library to learn more and view the lineup of programs.
