Woodbridge auto repair shops highlighted in Tire Business article
Woodbridge, VA — October 27, 2021 — A Prince William County company was highlighted in a newspaper.
Tire Business published a feature about B&W Associates. The article shares the company’s story and how its two Woodbridge auto repair shops support What’s Up Prince William (WUPW.news).
Established in 2005, B&W Associates runs Steve’s Auto Repair & Tire and HomeTowne Auto Repair & Tire.
It started WUPW.news, which talks about local businesses and individuals doing good things, in 2015. The news site also promotes many non-profits, including Action in Community Through Service (ACTS), The Arc of Greater Prince William, the Prince William County/Manassas Boys & Girls Clubs, and the Americans in Wartime Experience.
Since its foundation, WUPW.news has received various awards. Earlier this year, the Virginia Press Association (VPA) recognized two videos it produced – one about volunteer fire departments, and one about how community members can use the Prince William Food Rescue app.
The Prince William Chamber of Commerce honored WUPW.news with the Community Outreach Award. In 2019, the media outlet received a recognition from The Arc for helping raise awareness.
Today, the news site has nearly 24,000 Facebook followers and more than 900 videos on its YouTube channel.
