Since 1993, the Human Rights Commission’s mission has been to establish equal opportunity for all persons within the County through educating our community and eliminating discrimination through civil and human rights law enforcement.
The primary job of the Human Rights Commission Office is the resolution of charges brought to the attention of the commission by residents who feel their rights were violated.

OUR JOB: To resolve charges brought to the Commission by residents who feel their rights have been violated in the areas of Employment, Housing, Credit, Education, and Public Accommodation, on the basis of their age, disability, source of income, race, color, sex, national origin, religion, familial status, martial status, status as a veteran, gender, or identity.
