All ages. Everyone has feelings. Sometimes those feelings can be a bit confusing (even for grownups!). So join us for a special family storytime where we’ll read books about feelings and make your very own worry stone! No registration.
All ages with caregiver. Come to a celebration of the 3rd anniversary of 1,000 Books before Kindergarten with stories, songs, and light refreshments. You’ll have a chance to sign up for 1,000 Books, and we’ll recognize children who have already “graduated.”
Adults and young adults. Did you know that coloring is a proven way for people of all ages to beat stress? We’ll provide colored pencils, coloring sheets, and light refreshments. You bring yourself and see if you can color away some stress! No registration.
Young adults and adults. Hear the experience of a young adult living with mental illness who shares his or her journey of recovery in this interactive presentation. You’ll learn the warning signs of mental health conditions and the steps you can take to find support for you or your friends.
Grades 6–12. Sometimes we forget to take care of our mental health. Join Ms. Diane in learning several ways you can take better care of yourself during the tough times. If the idea of finals and end of the year report cards have you stressing out, this is the program for you! No registration.
For adults. Veterans are invited to participate in leathercraft, wood sculpture, and other crafts. Therapeutic craft kits, provided by Help Heal Veterans, help veterans develop new relationships while increasing public awareness of the important role veterans play in all of our lives.
